Clouet Street is honored to be able to partner with Black Boys Read NOLA. Founded as a response to a lack of representation of black male protagonists in curriculum being assigned in school systems in and around the New Orleans area. Their mission is to fill that void while amplifying dignity in the young black male coming of age in today's American society.
By purchasing this t-shirt not only will you have something very stylish to wear, but we will donate $5 for every Black Boys Read t-shirt purchased on our website. Which will go towards buying books for our future leaders of tomorrow.
Our shirts are unisex and made out of 100% pre-shrunk cotton.
Shirts are sold in youth and adult sizes.
More on Black Boys Read:
Therese Colin is the founder of Black Boys Read NOLA. The book club serves boys ages 3-12. A fairly new organization that is rapidly growing.
"We are a book club at face value, but so much more once you scratch the surface. We are also a history club, networking source, a place of respite, an outreach organization, and so much more. Our main goal is to instill pride and amplify dignity in our boys. We believe that having a sense of their history along with a feeling of self-worth will ensure future success in these individuals. We can't think of a better way to achieve that end than through books and healthy dialog about said books." ~Therese Colin
